Pillar of Support for Cambodian Aviation Industry
19th October 2018, Phnom Penh – The Dviation Group is pleased to announce an exciting and ahead-of-the-curve collaboration with Cambodia’s Civil Aviation Training Center (CATC) with the recent inking of a Memorandum of Understanding. This MoU was put in place to achieve a common goal of developing and enhancing aviation education and training for the current and new generation of skilled workers to support the growth of both the local and greater ASEAN aviation community.
CATC, under the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA) Cambodia, began operations in 2013 as a means to enhance professional skills in the Cambodian civil aviation sector. Working closely with international aviation organizations, CATC aims to adopt and comply with aviation standards, and attain international qualifications to boost Cambodia’s position in the global industry.
In support of CATC, Dviation aims to develop and build on CATC’s capabilities to further upgrade the Cambodian aviation industry. With its team of highly experienced instructors, assessors and industry veterans, Dviation will present top-class technical training to the Cambodian industry and will aid in the development of training standards and procedures to meet international regulatory framework including the likes of EASA, FAA & SSCA, amongst others.
Dviation anticipates the growth of Cambodia’s aviation industry, as local talents and aspiring aviation workers continue to flourish. As such, they intend to focus on developing human capital to hone the knowledge and skills of local talents via training, so that they may contribute to the overall development of the aviation industry in Cambodia.
“The Dviation Group is honoured and privileged to be able to contribute our expertise and resources in support of the local aviation industry - through the development of human capital as part of this special collaboration. We thank the entire staff and management of CATC for their support and commitment to realize the exciting first steps in making aviation technical training readily available to the general public as well as current stakeholders in the Cambodian aviation industry” – commented Group MD, Kevin Teoh.
As a result of this signing, Dviation and CATC have successfully established an education and training link – as joint aircraft maintenance and engineering training partners – with the common goal of improving employability and marketability of talents in the region.
