Shah Alam, Malaysia, 22 December 2025 – KarbonMRO has been granted Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Repair Station approval, marking a major milestone in the company’s growth as an independent aviation Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) provider.

Issued by the United States Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration, the approval authorises KarbonMRO to operate as an FAA-certified Repair Station, reinforcing its ability to support US-registered and internationally operated aircraft to the highest global regulatory standards. 

Under the FAA Operations Specifications, KarbonMRO is approved to perform heavy maintenance on a wide range of narrowbody aircraft, including Boeing 737 NG and MAX series, as well as Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321 aircraft powered by CFM56, LEAP-1A, and IAE V2500 engines. Engine capabilities include performing major module replacements for the CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B series, enabling KarbonMRO to provide comprehensive airframe and powerplant support across key global fleets. 

This FAA approval reflects the robustness of KarbonMRO’s quality management systems, facilities, tooling, personnel competency, and regulatory compliance framework. It also demonstrates the organisation’s readiness to meet the stringent oversight and operational discipline required by one of the world’s most respected aviation authorities.
