Changing the Training Landscape: Dviation and OMNI Aviation MoU

24th October 2019, Selangor, Malaysia – The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Dviation Training Centre (DTC) and OMNI Aviation Corporation (OMNI) took place today, at the Dviation Headquarters in Selangor, Malaysia.  

This MoU solidifies the bond between DTC and OMNI, as they team up to be training partners in the aircraft maintenance sector. The aim of this joint understanding is to leverage on the capabilities and resources of both organisations, with the common goal of putting the Philippines as well as the greater ASEAN region on the world map for aviation training.

In recognising the need to promote and strengthen relations with fellow industry players, DTC and OMNI have between them, a mutual cooperation in the areas of aviation education and training.  The proposed collaboration between DTC & OMNI will initially focus on bringing EASA Part-66 and Part-147 training programs to the local market.  DTC will also be entrusted with the responsibility of developing OMNI’s future instructors to satisfy European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) standards thereby creating a pool of skilled instructors to cater to the increased demand for skill workers in aviation.

Incorporated in 2012, DTC is one of five branches of the Dviation Group, alongside the aircraft maintenance, recruitment, consultancy and FTM/CAMO branches. OMNI – headquartered in Clark, Philippines – is the only training centre in the country that has received authorisation from the International Airport Transportation Association (IATA).
